Native to the Western Mediterranean area. Used by ancient Greeks to ward off infectious disease. Historically used for digestive and respiratory issues. Thyme can be found in toothpastes, mouthwash, cold remedies and cosmetics.

Responsible Cautions: Avoid during pregnancy or in cases of hypertension. As it is a hot oil, it can irritate mucous membranes and cause dermal irritation. When used on skin it should ALWAYS be diluted at least 1 part Thyme ct. thymol to 10 parts of Message Oil. When used internally, it should ONLY be used in capsules and diluted with Grapeseed Message Oil. In case of undiluted contact with skin, immediately dilute with Message Oil or olive oil; do NOT attempt to wash off with water, which will drive the oil further into skin tissue.
